The Virginia Tech Department of Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise (HNFE) is pleased to invite applications for the Instructor/Assistant Internship Director in Nutrition and Dietetics position.  

Candidates must have a graduate degree in nutrition or a closely related field, the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD or RDN) credential, and a minimum of three years of post-RD credential work experience in the dietetics field. The Instructor/Assistant Director of the Virginia Tech Internship in Nutrition and Dietetics will instruct and manage the experiences of interns enrolled in the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited dietetic internship. The Assistant Director develops and maintains supervised practice sites in assigned areas, teaches weekly internship class sessions, and advises interns who are simultaneously completing the internship’s partner graduate degree. Undergraduate and/or graduate course instruction is expected based on the needs of the Internship and Department. The successful candidate will report to the Department Head and collaborate weekly with the Director of the Internship in Nutrition and Dietetics. This position requires frequent and successful coordination and relationship building with multiple other faculty, staff, and stakeholders. 

This position is in beautiful Blacksburg, VA.
